Mode of Action

Sempra contains Halosulfuron Methyl, a sulfonylurea herbicide that inhibits the Acetolactate Synthase (ALS) enzyme in weeds.

This enzyme is responsible for producing essential amino acids (valine, leucine, isoleucine). When blocked:

• Weed growth stops within a few hours.

• Leaves start yellowing within several days.
