Confidor Insecticide
Confidor Insecticide is a trusted systemic insecticide containing Imidacloprid 17.1% SL, widely used for effective control of sucking pests such as aphids, jassids, whiteflies, and termites. Developed by Bayer, Confidor is known for its fast action, long residual control, and strong plant systemic movement.
It works by targeting the insect nervous system, causing paralysis and death shortly after feeding. Due to its systemic action, it gets absorbed by roots and leaves and translocates throughout the plant, protecting even new growth.
Confidor has become a benchmark solution for cotton, rice, vegetables, fruits, and plantation crops across India.

Confidor Insecticide Features and Benefits
Systemic Action
Absorbed quickly by roots and foliage and transported through xylem, protecting entire plant including new shoots.
Effective Against Major Sucking Pests
Controls aphids, whiteflies, jassids, thrips, brown planthopper, and termites.
Quick Knockdown Effect
Acts on insect nervous system leading to paralysis and death within hours of feeding.
Long Residual Protection
Provides extended control reducing frequent spray requirements.
Low Dose High Efficiency
Effective at very low dosage per hectare, making it cost-efficient for farmers.
Resistance Management Tool
Useful in rotation programs when alternated with insecticides of different modes of action.
Mode of Action
Imidacloprid belongs to the neonicotinoid group and acts on the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in insects. It disrupts nerve signal transmission, causing feeding stoppage, paralysis, and eventual death.
Due to systemic translocation, pests feeding on any part of the treated plant ingest the active ingredient.
