Price range: ₹500.00 through ₹850.00

Shamir Fungicide is a dual-action systemic and contact fungicide containing Tebuconazole 6.7% + Captan 26.9% w/w. It provides strong preventive and curative control against major fungal diseases in fruits and vegetables while supporting resistance management.

Shamir Fungicide

Shamir Fungicide is a scientifically formulated combination fungicide containing Tebuconazole 6.7% + Captan 26.9% w/w. It offers both systemic curative action and protective contact control, making it highly effective against a wide range of fungal diseases in fruits and vegetables.

Tebuconazole, a triazole fungicide (DMI group), inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis in fungi, stopping fungal cell membrane development. Captan, a multi-site contact fungicide, prevents spore germination and fungal establishment on plant surfaces. This dual mechanism ensures strong disease knockdown, longer protection, and reduced resistance risk.

Shamir is particularly recommended for high-value crops where consistent disease management is essential for yield and quality.

Combines systemic curative control with strong surface protection to stop infection at multiple stages.

Ergosterol Biosynthesis Inhibitor (EBI Action)
Tebuconazole disrupts fungal sterol production, effectively stopping internal fungal growth.

Multi-Site Contact Shield
Captan acts on multiple metabolic sites in fungi, preventing resistance buildup.

Preventive + Early Curative Control
Effective when applied preventively or at early disease onset.

Longer Residual Effect
Provides extended field protection under favorable weather conditions.

Resistance Management Tool
Ideal for rotation programs due to combined site-specific and multi-site chemistry.

Research-Based Action Insight

Tebuconazole belongs to the DMI (Demethylation Inhibitor) class of fungicides, widely recognized for systemic movement and long residual control in crops like grapes and mango.

Captan is a proven multi-site fungicide that reduces the probability of resistant fungal strains, making the combination scientifically robust for integrated disease management programs.

The synergy ensures:

  • Internal disease suppression

  • Surface-level spore inhibition

  • Reduced disease recurrence

  • Improved crop quality and market value
